Offeh was recently filmed arriving at Kotoka International Airport in Accra following his deportation.

Kofi Offeh, also known as King Atehene, gained attention after setting up camp with two women in a woodland near Jedburgh in 2025. The group, which called itself the Kingdom of Kubala, claimed they were reclaiming land allegedly taken from their ancestors centuries ago.

Local Conservative councillor Scott Hamilton described the deportation as a major relief for residents, saying the group's actions had caused significant disruption in Jedburgh.

The Kingdom of Kubala attracted international attention through its strong social media presence, amassing more than 100,000 followers across TikTok and Facebook.

During their eviction, which was livestreamed on TikTok, Offeh and one of his followers, Kaura Taylor from Texas, were detained by immigration officers. Taylor was later released.

Another member, Jean Gasho, originally from Zimbabwe and known as Queen Nandi, also left the camp following the operation.

The group first arrived in Jedburgh in early 2025 and was repeatedly evicted from several sites before authorities finally removed them from the area.

Their presence sparked controversy in the local community, leading to several legal attempts to remove them from the area. After multiple eviction orders, they were finally removed from the council-owned woodland in October last year.
