
In a joint operation at Kasoa–Tuba, the Cyber Security Authority and National Security arrested 32 Nigerian nationals suspected of cybercrime. Authorities seized 31 laptops and 15 mobile phones for forensic analysis. The suspects are assisting with investigations as part of ongoing efforts to fight cybercrime in Ghana. The CSA urges the public to report any suspicious digital activity.

This comes at the heels of recent arrest of Fredrick Kumi popularly called Abu Trica. He is a 31‑year‑old Ghanaian social media personality and entrepreneur from Swedru who gained attention online by showcasing a lavish lifestyle, including stacks of money and luxury goods.

Abu Trica was arrested in Ghana on December 11, 2025 following a coordinated operation involving Ghanaian law enforcement and the FBI after being indicted in the United States for allegedly playing a central role in a sophisticated 8 million romance scam targeting primarily elderly Americans.
