The Catholic Bishop of Ho and the Chairman of the National Peace Council, Most Rev. Emmanuel Fianu, has emphasized the need for constructive dialogue rather than legal confrontation in addressing matters of faith and religious practice in schools.

Speaking on recent tensions involving faith-based institutions and students of different religious backgrounds, he stressed that open conversation and mutual understanding are the most effective ways to preserve peace and respect in educational settings.

He urged all stakeholders — including school authorities, religious groups, and the state — to engage respectfully to uphold both religious freedom and institutional values.
