The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has for the first time issued evacuation order directly to Palestinians crowded in parts of Rafah at the south of Gaza strip. This may be part of imminent plan of invasion of the city which many countries, including allies of Israel strongly are opposed to.
The order started in the form of drop of flyers, sending of text messages and phone calls to residents to start moving towards al-Mawasi and Khan Younis areas of southern Gaza which the military designated a safe zone.
According to the IDF, the order only applied to some sections of Rafah in the east and not the entire city even though the plan has always been to conquer the entire city where six of the terror group’s intact battalions are located.
This new dramatic development would certainly echo dreadful alarm across the world especially when many players including strong allies of Israel have been working tirelessly to secure seize fire deal and release of hostages in the hands of Hamas.
However, the evacuation order might not come as a big surprise to many, owing to the unexpected Hamas attack on the Israeli army causing the lives of 3 and injury to 11 others from south of Gaza’s Rafah a day earlier.
Israel declared war on the terror group Hamas in the Gaza strip after a surprise and humiliating evasion of Israeli southern communities close to the border on October 7 last year by the terror group. Some 3000 fighters breached through much touted Israeli military technological defense, killing over a thousand people and taking along about 250 of all ages hostage to the strip.
The outcome of this war between Hamas and Israel is one of massive destruction of lives and properties of the Palestinians in the Gaza strip and lost of lives of many Israeli soldiers as well as civilians.
The war has also heightened the fear of regional war between Israel and its bitter foes; near and far. Efforts are being made frantically by world leaders to avoid unimaginable catastrophe of such a war.
