At campaign rally in the municipality, Kennedy Agyapong, the Assin Central member of parliament, angrily warned the residents of Kintampo North against voting the opposition party NDC in the 2024 election.
According to the MP, they will suffer severe consequences if they don’t support and vote for NPP this time around.
He threatened to personally ensure no developmental project takes place in the area should they again vote for NDC.
“If you don’t vote [for NPP] and you insist that we should come and develop this area… I am the Chairman at Ghana Gas who can authorise its construction, but I will personally not do it. Because you never vote for us. You will collect all there is in the world but won’t vote for us,” Kennedy Agyapong said furiously.
The question many people are asking is, how on earth could a leader being taken care of with taxpayers’ resources to improve living situation of citizens openly issue such warning because of political power?
Some netizens are of the view this can only happen in Ghana.
