John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has sworn not to follow in President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's footsteps if elected in the next general elections.
This was in response to President Akufo-Addo's plea for Ghanaians to vote against Mr. Mahama as the next President, stating that if elected, he, Mahama would destroy all of his successes.
The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's statement of course did not go down well with the formal president and he decided to fire back through his official social media handle.
According to him, he would not continue President Akufo-Addo's legacy because the President will leave a poor legacy that is unworthy of emulation and protection.
"Of course, I will not protect your 'legacy' of corruption, misgovernance, arrogance, ineptitude, bankrupt economy, increased unemployment, and pushing more of our people into the poverty bracket," the tweet added.
