Justice is being demanded by the family of level 200 pharmacy student who was allegedly stabbed to death at University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale.

Mohammed Zakiu Wumpini, who was allegedly stabbed multiple times in the chest on the university campus, passed away on Wednesday, September 25.

On Thursday, September 26, his lifeless body was discovered on the university campus after several attempt to reach him on phone call failed.

Early reports raise the potential of an armed robbery given that Zakiu's motorcycle and phone were gone from the scene.

Family sources, however, disputed such account, raising suspicion of targeted murder as opposed to being a victim of random armed robbery.

According to relatives, the deceased borrowed the motorbike of a friend to the house of another friend to watch football match.

When the family could not reach him on phone, they called his friend to whom he went to watch football. They were informed he left earlier to campus and that got them worried leading to a search for him.
