Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, popularly known as KODA is a giant Ghanaian gospel musician whose sudden demise shocked the nation on April 21, 2024 following a short illness. He was 45years old.
KODA was known for his multi-musical talent as he was an excellent guitarist, singer and producer.
Born in Takoradi, KODA started his musical journey at a young age. He joined church choirs and local bands which help to shape his impactful musical journey.
KODA’s love and passion for music led him in pursuing a degree in Music and Psychology in the University of Cape Coast. This solid professional background is evident in the quality of music he had been releasing over the years.
The late Gospel musician was known for his popular and thoughtful songs such as “Hosanna”, “Amen”, “Nkwa Abodoo”, “Oxygen”, ‘Worship Therapy’’.
KODA’s funeral was held today, September 20 after earlier rescheduling.
The solemn ceremony took place at the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in Accra followed by a private burial. He left behind a wife and three children.
Many respected and popular music colleagues of the late musician were in attendance to pay their last respect. Among them are: Elder Mireku, Sonnie Badu, Diana Hamilton, Nacee and others.
The memory and legacy of KODA cannot be forgotten owing to his good and powerful songs that will continue to sooth the mind and heart of this and generations yet unborn.
